NHS and healthcare
My career has focused on the NHS, including the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme to reduce unwarranted variation and the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance to improve the quality of NHS care for the armed forces community. I have been seconded / redeployed to support families at the NHS Nightingale Hospital London and I am also an accredited non-religious pastoral carer (hospital chaplain.)
I am a wedding celebrant for Humanists UK, with a specific interest in ceremonies for friends, LGBTQ+ couples and people interested in incorporated religious tradition without the beliefs.
I am interested in exploring and promoting religion as a valuable human creation. I do not believe in the supernatural, but I find deep meaning and importance in religious thought and practice. I am a member of the Sea of Faith Network and attend a liberal Anglo-Catholic Church of England parish in East London, where I am also PCC Secretary and Deanery Synod rep. I am also a member of Humanists UK.
